GSI Associates is currently seeking to employ a Human Resources Manager in our office in Prishtina.

We are a British owned and managed international consulting company based in London with offices in Kosovo, Malta, North Macedonia, and Romania. GSI first established in the Balkans with the Romania division in 2009 followed by the North Macedonian office in 2015, the Kosovo office in 2019 and recently the Malta office in 2020.

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager who will enhance the company’s human resources by effectively planning and implementing human resources policies, programs, and practices. The successful candidate should have an extensive experience in the Human Resources field in international companies, preferably UK entities, with demonstrated competence in leading teams in a multi-cultural environment.

1. Key requirements/Qualifications:

  • +5 years of work experience in the Human Resources field with demonstrated competence in leading teams and organizing and executing strategic plans
  • +3 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • A University Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a similar field
  • Certification in Human Resource Management and/or Personnel Development will be considered an asset
  • Previous work experience in a multi-cultural environment and with international clients, preferably UK clients
  • Knowledge of a wide range of human resources strategies and practices, including performance management, compensation, hiring and employee relations. Ability to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
  •  Proficient knowledge of the Kosovo Law on Labour and its practices in the workplace; knowledge of relevant health and safety laws
  • Previous experience in drafting and implementing company policies, including human resources procedures
  • Experience in managing recruitment processes of new staff
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in Albanian and English; working knowledge of another language is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and communication tools such as Teams, Zoom, Google Meet; working knowledge of an HR software will be considered an advantage
  • Highly skilled in problem-solving, identifying issues and resolving them in timely manner
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and orally
  • Strong work ethic, organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to be accurate, thorough, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to identify immediate requirements and prioritise workloads as necessary


2. Responsibilities:

  • Enhancing the company’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
  • Overseeing the overall function of the Human Resources department
  • Drafting company manuals, policies, and procedures and ensuring a successful implementation throughout the company
  • Supporting the company by establishing a recruiting and interviewing program, counselling managers on candidate selection
  • Ensuring planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances and counselling employees and supervisors
  • Handling conflicts and other issues while protecting the company through legal compliance
  • Creating new incentives or programs that support company culture; Implements employee benefits programs while recommending these programs to the management
  • Updating company and personnel records, investigating complaints, and handling disciplinary and termination procedures
  • Managing, coordinating, and supporting the recruitment process of new staff, while maintaining a smooth onboarding process
  • Conducting performance management, review process, and exit interviews
  • In charge of employee relations’ management including safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting
  • Providing the necessary support systems for payroll requirements
  • Managing succession planning of staff
  • Carrying out necessary administrative duties
  • Supporting other duties related to human resources functions
  • Working closely with other team members in completing daily tasks
